Can I freeze | lock | pause the course and resume later?
The course access license is predetermined at the time of purchase. Therefore, it is not possible to freeze the classes.
However, our students have access to great pedagogical support, where they can discuss and receive guidance on study routines and how to make the most of the course.

I want to cancel the course. How can I do that?
To request a cancellation within the warranty period (first 7 days), just send a ticket through the form on this page, selecting your course and the subject: "I've bought the course within the last 7 days and I have questions"
According to the Consumer Defense Code (CDC), this period starts counting from the receipt of the product or service. Example: If you purchase the course on 10/02 and receive access on 11/02, you have until 17/02 to regret the purchase without having to provide any justification and still receive a full refund.
After the 7-day period following the receipt of the product or service as provided by the CDC (Consumer Defense Code), cancellation is no longer possible, as the installments do not correspond to monthly payments or continuous subscriptions. Access to the course is acquired as a complete product, with a usage period according to the acquired offer, regardless of the chosen installment method.

What is Memhack?
Memhack is a memorization platform exclusive to Fluency Academy.
Do you know the phrases you learned in Fluency classes? They become Memhack cards!
With this system, you will memorize and internalize everything you studied!🧠
The logic of Memhack is as follows:
1️⃣ You access the platform;
2️⃣ Start a study session;
3️⃣ Choose the available time you have for that day;
4️⃣ Start practicing🏆
When studying, you will see cards containing phrases in the new language. The challenge is to try to remember the meaning of the phrase previously seen in the lesson. After that, you mark the level of difficulty you had in remembering it.
Based on your strengths and weaknesses, Memhack prepares personalized study sessions.
They will help you recall phrases and words just when you are about to forget them, until they become a permanent part of your memory!
It's worth noting that your access to Memhack is not conditioned on having an active course. In other words, your access never expires!✨

How do I add card decks on Memhack?
Every time we finish a lesson within the course, we can scroll down the page and encounter 2 features:
1️⃣ A small quiz to test our knowledge after completing the lesson;
2️⃣ A Memhack banner with a button to add decks
To add card decks in Memhack, just click the button and you’re done!✅
The cards will be added to your deck and can be studied in your study sessions.

If the banner for your course is different from the example banner we used above, don’t worry, okay? The layout of the banner may vary depending on the course you are taking. Check out this other example of a banner that is in one of our other courses
The important thing here is to make sure the deck has been added and is available to be studied.
🙋How do I know if a lesson deck has been added to my Memhack deck?
When we scroll down a lesson page and reach the Memhack banner, it will indicate whether or not we have already added it. See below examples of banners where the deck has been added and has not yet been added:

How can I schedule a study session?
To have a study session on Memhack, the first thing to do is:
1. Go to Memhack;
2. Select your course;
3. Click on Study Now;
4. Once done, just choose your deck and start studying!🤩
🙋How to choose the ideal deck for a study session?
- If you have plenty of time available (around 1 hour), select the ideal mode to study all the cards in your deck;
- As the available study time decreases, adjust the size of the decks to fit the time you have😉
*Generally:
⌛A session of up to 150 cards (Good) takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete;
A session of up to 100 cards (Medium) takes 20 to 30 minutes;
And a session of 50 cards (Short) takes 10 to 15 minutes.
🙋How to study each card?
For each card, follow these 6 steps:
1️⃣ Read;
2️⃣ Play the audio;
3️⃣ Repeat aloud, trying to match the audio as closely as possible;
4️⃣ Reflect on the translation of the phrase on that card;
5️⃣ Flip the card and assess if your translation matches Memhack's translation;
6️⃣ Evaluate the card.
🙋How to evaluate the deck cards?
• If you could easily remember it, that is, you remembered the phrase and could understand it instantly, classify it as 'Easy';
• If you had a bit more difficulty remembering it, that is, it took you between 5 to 15 seconds, mark it as 'Good';
• If you don't remember some parts of the phrase or had a lot of difficulty remembering it, mark it as 'Difficult';
• Now, if you don’t remember or understand anything from the phrase, click 'Don't remember'.
By classifying the difficulty of content on Memhack, you help the algorithm adjust the frequency of the cards, prioritizing the more difficult ones to prevent forgetting and ensure effective studies. So make sure to evaluate the cards properly and study every day!📚

I forgot my password. What now?
If you have any problem with your access, just reset your password by following the steps below:
1️⃣ Go to the Memhack login page and click on Forgot My Password
2️⃣ Enter your email and click on 'Recover Password';
3️⃣ Check your email and look for 'Instructions to Reset Password';
4️⃣ Click on the link provided in the email;
5️⃣ Enter the new password, repeat it in the field below, and click on Recover Password;

What is Fluency Talks?
Fluency Talks is Fluency Academy's conversation platform that provides you with a unique experience in the pursuit of the much-desired fluency.
On the platform, you will find two types of sessions:
1️⃣ Individual lessons, 45 minutes long (just the student and the teacher);
2️⃣ Group lessons, 60 minutes long, with a maximum of 6 students per class.
Our goal is to unlock your speaking ability and enable you to communicate confidently in English or Spanish.

How can I access and schedule classes?
As soon as you secure your spot on our conversation platform, follow this step-by-step guide to access it:
1️⃣ Go to: https://www.accounts.fluency.io/activate/?product=talks;
2️⃣ Enter the email you used for the purchase and click "Send";
3️⃣ You will receive a 6-digit code in your email;
4️⃣ Return to the Fluency Talks access page and enter the code there;
5️⃣ Now you can create your access password;
6️⃣ Done! 🤩 You can now schedule your lessons ✅
🙋 How to schedule individual lessons?
On the platform's homepage, you should:
1️⃣ Click on "Individual" in the purple bar at the top of the page;
2️⃣ Select the teacher with whom you want to practice conversation and click on "Schedule lesson"
*If you already know who you want to practice with, you can use the search box and type the teacher's name.
3️⃣ After clicking the button, you can see the days the teacher is available on the right side of the screen. Select the best date for you;
4️⃣ By clicking on the date, you will see the times the teacher is available on that day. Select the best time for you;
5️⃣ Click on "Schedule lesson", select one of the available courses according to your interest, and click "Schedule lesson" again 🤩
🙋 How to schedule group lessons?
On the platform's homepage, you should:
1️⃣ Click on "Group" in the purple bar at the top of the page;
2️⃣ On the left side of the screen, you can see some filters and use them to select the language, level, and day/time that best suits you;
3️⃣ The lesson options will appear on the right side, and you just need to select the most suitable one and click on "Schedule lesson"
4️⃣ You will be redirected to a confirmation page, and there, just click "Confirm ✔️"
🤚 If you are having trouble accessing the platform, open a ticket on the form by selecting Fluency Talks and the topic "I need support to access the platform" And if the problem is occurring when scheduling lessons, use the same path but select the topic "Others".
How do I cancel classes?
If you have scheduled a lesson but cannot attend, it is essential that you cancel the lesson in advance. By doing so, you will automatically receive your credit back 🤩
To receive this refund, you must cancel:
🕐 Group lessons at least 1 hour in advance
🕛 Individual lessons at least 24 hours in advance
To cancel, you should:
1️⃣ Access your schedule in the "My Lessons" tab (in the purple bar at the top of the page);
2️⃣ Select the lesson you want to cancel;
3️⃣ Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the lesson;
4️⃣ Select the "Cancel lesson" option that appears there;
5️⃣ A box will then appear for you to confirm if you really want to cancel this lesson.
Once the lesson is cancelled, you will receive an email, and you can reschedule it again ✅
🤚If you couldn't cancel before the established time:
In cases where you cannot cancel and cannot attend the class for a justifiable reason, we ask that you contact support through the form. Just inform the reason for the absence and select the subject, "I have questions about Fluency Talks". With this, we will analyze the possibility of returning this credit🙏
What are credits and what is their validity?
Credits represent the number of lessons you have available per week and can be for individual or group lessons.

On the Fluency Talks homepage, you can track how many credits for group and individual sessions you have each week:

When you schedule your lessons, they will also appear on this page, and the days you have lessons will be marked in orange:
🙋 What is the validity of the credits?Weekly credits are available from Monday to Sunday, when they expire. This means credits are not cumulative, and it is not possible to schedule a lesson for the following week with this week’s credits.
Remember that group lessons can be scheduled up to 1 hour before they start, and individual lessons need to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. So, it's good to plan ahead!
